New Zealand and Spain business ties
Spain and New Zealand have a lot in common – long coastlines, thriving tourism industries and a reputation as agricultural "food baskets" for their regions and the world. As a result, we have a long history of mutually beneficial trade relationships in the agritech, specialised technology, marine and tourism industries.
Spain's requirement for constant and sustainable innovation around food and beverage production, health solutions, agriculture and farming operations, as well as marine components and equipment, perfectly compliment New Zealand's agile ability and expertise in these areas, with continuous interest from companies in this space.
Spain's fame as La Huerta de Europa – the fruit and vegetable garden of Europe – matches New Zealand's own reputation for high-quality food and beverage, creating a shared platform for global excellence and partnerships in the horticultural and agricultural sectors.
